The HOPE Clinic in Garland held its fourth annual Christmas toy drive, drawing community members together with the goal of making sure every child receives a special gift this holiday season.

Executive Director Tanya Downing was at the center of the effort at the clinic, coordinating volunteers while also helping patients find their way through the event. Throughout the site, the work of local partners was on display, from rows of bicycles donated by Boy Scouts of America Troop 815 to a large pile of presents wrapped by Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church and other dedicated volunteers.

Santa Claus made a special appearance, arriving in a sleek black Cadillac provided by Encore Recyclers.

Andersen Windows + Doors was also a significant contributor. Plant Manager Clarence Harden said giving back is a large part of what motivates him to return. "We enjoy bringing toys and passing them out. There's a real feeling of giving back, and that's why I'm here again today," Harden said.

WaFd Bank supported the day by sponsoring a food truck that kept volunteers and participants fed. Bank representative Daniel Roberson said the bank's relationship with the clinic is still developing. "We've been working with HOPE Clinic for a bit now and are excited to start helping and volunteering here," he said.

The event brought together a range of local organizations and businesses, showing how shared effort can make a difference for many people. With backing from the Garland community, the HOPE Clinic aims to ensure the holiday season is one of joy and giving for all.
