The chamber of commerce replaced paper stubs with a digital system for its 30th annual campaign, which runs through December.

The Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce launched a digital platform for its annual holiday raffle, ending a three-decade tradition of using paper tickets. The organization partnered with the Open Rewards mobile app to manage entries for the 2026 Buy Broken Arrow campaign.
The initiative began in 1996 as a paper-based effort. For the first 29 years, shoppers collected physical stubs to enter a drawing. This year, the chamber switched to a mobile solution to streamline the process for participants and retailers. The transition aims to reduce the administrative burden of tracking physical receipts.
The campaign runs from November 1 through December 12. Shoppers can earn raffle entries by uploading a receipt from a participating store or by scanning a QR code in a local business without making a purchase. Approximately 80 local establishments are part of the program, ranging from pizza shops to home repair services and soap makers.
Amber Miller of the chamber stated that the app allows users to manage everything from their phones, eliminating the need to keep track of loose tickets. The prize pool for this year includes a $10,000 grand prize, a $3,000 second prize, and a $2,000 third prize.
Local business owners view the event as a way to strengthen the local economy. Sarah Meyer of Magnolia Soap noted that shopping locally is more important than ever. Carlos Lopez, a local small business owner, said the digital format helps prevent lost tickets. Travis Stephens, Broken Arrow's Economic Development Director, explained that Oklahoma law restricts local government revenue to sales tax generated within city limits, making local spending a direct source of funds for municipal services.
The drawing will take place on Sunday, December 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mattress Firm location in Broken Arrow. Winners will receive notifications through the Open Rewards app. They must contact the chamber of commerce within 24 hours to claim their prize.
If a prize remains unclaimed, the chamber will redraw the number starting Monday, December 14. Daily drawings will continue as needed until all prizes are claimed. Miller encouraged residents to download the app and explore the list of participating businesses for the holiday season.
