Political disruptions have become a recurring theme in recent campaign stops, often targeting specific policy grievances or personal histories.

President Donald Trump faced a vocal interruption on Wednesday evening at a rally in Chillicothe, Ohio, focused on his past association with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Robert Potylo, an activist who uses the handle Robby Roadsteamer on social media, began singing a parody of the Village People's hit 'YMCA' shortly after Trump started his remarks.

Potylo chanted, 'Trump went on the Jeffrey Epstein plane,' while the audience booed. He also shouted the phrases 'Butterscotch shitler' and 'Pumpkin spice pedo.'

Epstein died in prison in 2019 in an apparent suicide. In February of this year, Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland disclosed that Trump's name appeared in the unredacted Epstein Files more than a million times.

Potylo stated that he shaved his beard for the first time in 20 years to prevent security personnel or supporters from recognizing him. He aimed to deliver his message within the first five minutes of the speech to avoid enduring the full hours long event.

After the outburst, security removed Potylo and handed him to local police. The officer ensured no supporters accosted him outside the venue. Potylo reported one physical encounter with a supporter who knocked his phone from his hand.

Trump characterized Potylo as a paid protester who received $250 to attend. Potylo disputed this figure, noting he earned more in donations after the video went viral.

This incident follows Potylo's 2024 disruption of Steve Bannon's press conference, where he asked if the next insurrection would occur after a visit to Burger King.
